What is a Land Trust? Land Trusts work with the community to protect land that includes important habitats and ecosystems like big forests, rivers, lakes, prairies, and wetlands.
Join Explorer Jane and Explorer Molly on a quest to learn more about Land Trusts! What do you think we will find?
Now it’s your turn, explorers! Your backyard is a type of habitat! Take a walk in your backyard and see if you can spot a bug, bird, or other type of animal's habitat. Maybe it's a nest in a tree, a spiderweb next to your home, or a bug burrowing into an old log. Imagine what a day in the life of that critter might look like! What do they eat? When do they sleep? What do you think they like to do for fun? Your backyard is a safe place for these critters! We can't wait to see what you discover!
