We always enjoy hearing about your experiences on We always enjoy hearing about your experiences on the Kinni! This one comes from Tom Garfin with a wonderful image to match!

"We had just completed a 2 mile round-trip walk around The School Forest. During the walk we saw a bald eagle, spotted Sandpiper, and a Woodcock. The heron was walking downstream below the lower dam. He posed for me in just the right light. I feel so fortunate to have this beautiful resource basically in my backyard."

Have a great story about your time on the Kinni? We would love to hear about it! Send it to info@kinniriver.org 🌿

If you visit The Community Forest and The River Fa If you visit The Community Forest and The River Falls School Forest from CTH FF starting tomorrow, you may notice some work being done to the access lane.

The River Falls School District will be working to widen the access lane and repair trails on The School Forest property. The access lane and trail work are scheduled to begin tomorrow and be completed during August. This is an important step in ensuring access to The School Forest for outdoor education purposes.

During this time, we recommend using the other access points off of The City of River Falls public trails at trailheads #11 or #12. Please use designated public trails only. We have provided a link to the trail maps below.
