ANNOUNCEMENT – KINNICKINNIC RIVER LAND TRUST
NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
I am excited to announce that the Kinnickinnic River Land Trust has a new Executive Director, Charlene Brooks, as of September 27, 2018.
Our board looks forward to introducing you to Charlene over the coming weeks and months. Our first priority for Charlene is to get to know you, the special people in the Kinni watershed and build the relationships that drive our successful mission.
Charlene has her B.A. in Environmental Studies from Gustavus Adolophus College and completed her Masters in Natural Resource and Science Management in June 2018. Her current experience as the Minnesota Association of Resource Conservation and Development Councils Grant Program Coordinator for the Enbridge, Inc. $3 Million Ecofootprint program grant recipients and the Lead planner and Marketer for the 2018 National Association of Resource Conservation and Development Councils in Minneapolis, MN give you just a hint of the depth and network that Charlene brings to the Executive Director role at KRLT. Charlene looks forward to introducing herself to you soon.
Past KRLT Executive Directors, Dave Drewiske, David Fodroczi and Dale Jorgenson have all enthusiastically offered their time and wisdom to support Charlene as she steps into continue the legacy of land trust leadership. As part of our transition plan, Dave Drewiske is focusing on his passion in Ag outreach and environmental education as our Outreach Coordinator, a volunteer leadership role, as of August 31, 2018. Dave will still be a valued part of the team and keep planned commitments for education and stewardship projects.
We’ll be sharing more information with our next KinniKeeper. Thank you for your on-going support through your financial gifts and volunteer hours that are so vital to our mission. Your support helps ensure the Kinni remains cold, clean and free…forever.
See you soon. Enjoy the Fall season by visiting the Headwaters, Kelly Creek or Drewiske Preserve as they are glorious this time of year.
