#HaveFunOutside

Please plan to join us from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 5 at our Kelly Creek Preserve to celebrate Wisconsin Land Trust Days. Enjoy a preserve walk, led by KRLT Executive Dave Drewiske, while learning about our 70 acre “Kelly Creek Preserve”, which has been restored to native prairie and oak savanna. We will also be having a Kelly Creek sign dedication! Please reserve your spot for the 1:00 p.m. or 2:00 p.m. tour at https://bit.ly/2mM3cRR

Then go to the Kinnickinnic Historical Society Ice Cream Social at the Kinnickinnic Church and savor some delicious ice cream made from the blackcaps harvested at Kelly Creek Preserve! The Historical Society is also celebrating the 150th birthday of this country church, which they have beautifully restored.

The ice cream social starts at 3:30 p.m. and ends at 6:00 p.m. Since this is the Historical Society’s major fundraiser, there will be a nominal fee for the ice cream, pie and soft drinks.

Come and #HaveFunOutside!

To reach Kelly Creek Preserve, from River Falls, take Wis. Hwy. 65 north (alternately, from Interstate 94 east of Hudson, at Exit 10 take Hwy. 65 south). Turn east onto County Road J. Drive about 1.5 miles and turn right/south onto a gravel road. In a little less than a third of a mile, a parking lot is on the road’s right/west side.

The address of the Kinnickinnic Church is 1276 County Road J, River Falls, WI.
