Kelly Creek Preserve Work Day

January 27, 2016 by Molly Barritt Leave a Comment

Bob Ebert, Katie Hahn, Peter Rayne and Carol Wilcox, under the direction of Kelly Creek Preserve Steward Dan Wilcox, cut box elders and burned brush at Kelly Creek Preserve on Saturday. It was a nice day and a wind from the south helped with the fires.

Not only did the volunteers see a flock of more than 200 snow buntings that were feeding in the prairie, but they also enjoyed roasted hot dogs and great camaraderie when their work was finished.

Volunteers are critical to helping us keep the Kinni cold, clean and free . . . forever!  Our thanks to Bob, Katie, Peter, Dan and Carol!
